Alfonso Paolucci, in Rome, writes to Alfonso d'Este, in Ferrara: Turini says that he will endeavour to reimburse the fifty ducats; Raphael's students have been assigned the Sala di Costantino and are available for other work.

Ver[o è] che quelli suoi gioveni, a li quali è data a depingere la Sala Pontife[cia] che dovea depingere Rafael, se offeriscono servire V. S. se ‘l [li] piace; e quando anco non li piacia, che li cinquanta ducati serano pron[ti] et il tellaro con la tella sopra che si dovea far la pictura de V. Ex.tia prefata. Io vi ho decto che ne scriverò, ma che tengo V.ra S. Ill.ma, poiché non ha potuta havere la pictura per Rafael, tengo habia facto altro designo. Io farò instantia a li dinari; e V. S. me ne potrà anco scrivere parendoli. [...]
