Following the removal of the choir, it is decided to construct a chapel behind the main altar of the Cathedral of Siena following Francesco di Giorgio's design.

Deliberaverunt, attenta remotione chori ecclesie cathedralis, quod est necessarium ad maiorem ornatum dicte ecclesie et commoditatem cleri pro divinis quod fiat capella post altare maius, secundum modellum magistri Francisci Georgii, addendo et minuendo prout eis videbitur conveniens, quod dicti Tres faciant et construent et edificent et ornent convenienter et in predictis habeant auctoritatem.
