From the diary of Albrecht Durer: all of Raphael's possesions have been dispersed after his death; Durer has met a pupil of his, Tommaso da Bologna, who gave him an ancient gold ring.

So ist er zu mir kommen und hatmir ein gulden Ring geschenckt, antiga, gar mit ein guten geschniten Stain, ist 5 Gulden werth; aber mir hat man zwifach Geldt dafùr wollen geben. Dargegen hab ich ihn geschenckt meines besten gedruckten Dings, das ist werth 6 Gulden. [...]
