Perugino is absent from Perugia and Bartolomeo del Caporale receives payment for him from that city for the painting of the 'Pietà' for the altarpiece of the chapel of the magistrature, Perugia.

Et a dì 14 d’Ottobre. Dede a Maestro Pietro de Castel de la Pieve, et per esso a Maestro Bartolomeo del Caporale depintore, flor. cinque, s. cinquanta, a sol. 90 per flor. Sonno pel resto della monta de la depintura de uno quadretto, quale depinse già più tempi sonno Sancte d’Apollonio, depintore, de commissione del decto Maestro Pietro, giudicato et arbitrato chosì per M.° Benedetto et M.° Fiorenzo, depinctori, chome per mano de Ser Angelo del Comthe appare. Levò Ruberto de Giovanni.
